"Palisades Park" the Musical Headed for Broadway

Fort Lee, NJ, June 22, 2011 --(PR.com)-- New Jersey singer-songwriter Mark Fabian and award winning record producer Frank D. Fagnano have created an original musical entitled “Palisades Park.”

It is about the lives of eight recent high-school graduates working in the legendary "Palisades Amusement Park" in it's last summer, 1971, and NY's most beloved DJ "Cousin" Brucie, now on Sirius Satellite Radio, who was the musical host at the park and was responsible for launching the careers of numerous 60's superstars on the “Great Stage” at Palisades Park located in both Fort Lee and Cliffside Park, NJ.

"Palisades Park" was the subject of a national hit song that reached #3 in 1962. It was recorded by "Freddy "Boom Boom" Canon and written by TV producer Chuck Barris, creator of The Newlywed Game, The Dating Game and The Gong Show. It was covered by The Beach Boys, Gary Lewis & the Playboys and even Joey Ramone.

"Palisades Park" was the also the subject of a PBS documentary by Vince Gargiulo and the legendary Ken Burns who recently had his baseball documentary "The 10th Inning" aired on PBS.

The characters in the show are colorful, the energy is high and the songs are influenced by bands from The Beatles and The Stones to Neil Diamond and The Jackson Five plus Broadway ballads and novelty tunes written and owned by Palisades Park Productions.
