San Francisco, CA, March 21, 2007 --(PR.com)-- CyberArts Licensing announced today two significant additions to its company roster - veteran Silicon Valley software executive Rudi Diezmann, and Mark Simpson, a well-known sales leader in the European technology sector.
Simpson steps into the role of CyberArts' European Sales Director, responsible for all sales activities in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Simpson's career has been marked by executive leadership posts at top technology companies. Most recently he served as Regional Sales Director-Europe for IP address infrastructure provider Nominum. Simpson has previously held senior management positions at Orbis, Nativeminds, Kana, HNC Telecommunications Division and QSP PLC. “Europe is ground-central for the online gaming industry,” commented Simpson. “And I'm excited about the opportunity to establish CyberArts' European presence to meet the growing demand for our software.”
Recently hired as Vice President of Engineering, Rudi Diezmann has served in a variety of executive positions during his 30-plus years in hardware and software development. Most recently Diezmann was Entrepreneur in Residence and Director of Software Development, ePaper Enterprise Solutions, for Adobe Systems. Diezmann has held executive management and senior positions with General Electric, Honeywell, Sperry-Univac, Cisco Systems, Oracle, and Apple Computer. Noted Diezmann, “CyberArts is well-known as a technical powerhouse, and I look forward to continuing the effort to deliver best-of-breed software to a growing list of diverse licensees.”
The San Francisco-based software developer is the creator of CyberArts Foundation, a client-server software platform for building industrial-strength, multi-player games of skill like poker, blackjack and backgammon. Licensees have included industry leaders like Mansion.com, World Poker Tour and Tony G Poker. “We have several deals of the same caliber in the wings, and we have begun to expand staff significantly to meet demand,” said Ken Arnold, Chairman of the CyberArts Board. The company hasn't been particularly impacted by recent US gambling restrictions. “To the contrary, our key differentiators - our software is truly global, truly customizable and 100% licensable -allow us to support savvy operators who are facing geographies outside the U.S.”
Additionally, the company has seen an uptick in the US market as a result of operators working with CyberArts to create legal forms of online gaming. “We're seeing companies exploring legal models - like advertising-supported services - as well as intra-facility and intra-state gaming, which is opening up due to recent Nevada legislation,” said Arnold. “To exploit these opportunities we continue to add features-and staff.”
More information is available on the company's site at http://www.cyberarts.com. CyberArts will be exhibiting at booth #306 during the Las Vegas-based Gaming Technology Summit () May 22-24, and booth #405 at the Global Interactive Gaming Summit & Expo (), June 5-7, in Montreal.
