New MEDIC First Aid Program Released - G2010 BasicPlus
Health & Safety Institute (HSI) is pleased to announce the new BasicPlus training program from MEDIC First Aid, a member of the HSI family of brands.
Eugene, OR, June 24, 2011 --(PR.com)-- With all new print materials and video scenarios, the 2-year CPR, AED, and first aid certification program continues the 20-year MEDIC First Aid tradition of engaging the adult learning through an easy-to-use, easy-to-learn instructional format.
This comprehensive program was created for use in an occupational work setting. The video-based, instructor-facilitated format makes it ideal for companies that want to ensure consistent training over multiple locations.
In addition to complying with the recommendations of the 2010 International Consensus on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Science with Treatment Recommendations (CoSTR), the program also features a new mobile application component. The MEDIC First Aid Passport gives students desktop and smartphone access to course content and skills reviews, complete with audio and video components, for anytime access to life-saving emergency care instruction. The application comes at no additional cost with every successful certification card.
“With a new specific first aid topics section, tools to increase retention and better response, plus reduced in-class completion time, the new BasicPlus program offers even more value for your training dollars,” says HSI CEO Bill Clendenen. “The streamlined presentation of emergency care content throughout the program helps students remember what they’ve learned and increases their confidence should they ever need to use those life-saving skills.”
