Sculptor Creates Unique Bridal Portraits
Shawn Slother, of Sculpture Portraits, creates low-relief bridal portraits that become cherished keepsakes of their special day.
Sanborn, NY, March 22, 2007 --(PR.com)-- As every bride-to-be knows, their wedding day is the most special day of their lives. As those involved in or attending this wonderful ceremony, search for the perfect gift, one aspect should not be overlooked. Nothing is as distinctive and meaningful as a portrait, to preserve their day.
"While photos capture the moment, a bridal portrait is as unique and memorable as the bride you're celebrating," said Shawn Slother, NY State Ambassador for the Portrait Society of America, and owner of Sculpture Portraits. "A traditional bridal portrait is an exceptional, personal gift that will never be forgotten."
Working from his home studio, in Sanborn, Slother creates his sculpture portraits from photographs, in a classic low-relief style. After molding the original and casting in either a pewter or bronze finish, the portraits are mounted into a shadowbox for prominent display.
For over 20 years, Slother has sculpted pieces for individuals and major corporations. "It's so rewarding to sculpt a portrait for someone and see the joy on their face when they receive it. The person who chooses a portrait as a gift, will experience this unforgettable moment firsthand," said Slother.
