Precision Microdrives Launches World’s Strongest (Highest Vibration Output) 6mm Vibration Motor
World's strongest 6mm vibration motor for haptic feedback and vibration tactile feedback in handheld and touch-screen based devices.
London, United Kingdom, June 29, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Precision Microdrives has just launched the world’s strongest (highest vibration output) 6mm vibrating motor.
The 306-101 is the first of a new generation of vibrating motors which are now becoming introduced to the Pico Haptic™ range of miniature vibrating motors. These motors are designed to offer higher performance haptic feedback and vibration tactile feedback in handheld and touch-screen based devices.
The 306-101 6mm vibrating motor is designed for applications and situations, for example in ruggedised instruments, where protective clothing might prevent the user or operator from feeling the vibration alert.
A new generation of products containing capacitive touch screens, are being introduced world-over. In order to make these interfaces intuitive to use, some form of haptic feedback is required to confirm to the user that their command has been recognised.
Today eccentric mass motors, more commonly known as vibrator motors are the most reliable and cost effective method to provide that feedback. With an appropriate control drive methodology it is possible to generate haptic events that convince users into thinking that they are pressing a tactile button. This requirement is not just limited to touch-screens, but also capacitive touch-panels which are more and more common in white-goods, consumer appliances and automotive applications.
Of course vibrator motors are also used frequently for vibration feedback, which is based more around alerting users of an event than replicating the feel of a tactile button. For vibration alerting, motors like the 306-101 are ideal due to their high output vibration levels which can pass through protective clothing like gloves.
Precision Microdrives’ engineering support team is comprised of experts in the field of applied haptic feedback, particularly for touch interfaces and handheld battery powered products. They are on hand to help customers find the best vibration motor for their application. High output vibrator motors are just part of a much wider range of 4mm to 7mm Pico Haptic™ vibrating motors, which also come other form factors, such as PCB vibrating motors and coin vibrating motors.
About Precision Microdrives
Precision Microdrives carries the worlds most comprehensive off-the-shelf range of DC vibration motors over 3 ranges, from 4mm diameter to 60mm diameter. All standard motors are available for same day dispatch, worldwide.
Precision Microdrives also has an experienced customer engineering support team that are here to help designers, engineers and production teams, as they integrate vibration feedback into their designs and products.
