Joey Barnes Releases "Under the Covers: Volume 1"

Joey Barnes releases fourth EP through Nascent Republic Records.

Greensboro, NC, June 29, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Joey Barnes, formerly of Daughtry, has released his fourth EP through Nascent Republic Records. Included in the first batch of cover songs are “Nothin’ My Love Can’t Fix,” “Always Something There to Remind Me,” and “Send Me an Angel.”

“Joey Barnes’ musical artistry is unfailingly brilliant,” praises a consumer review on iTunes. Fans have been long awaiting new material from Barnes, who has been in the studio recording a 36 song double disc album since February of this year. “I wanted it to reflect where the album was headed,” Barnes says of this first installment, “...give people a head’s up on what’s to come.”

Barnes is a widely sought after musician who played with Daughtry for four years after being in several local bands. He was asked to play for Jimmy Gnecco, and opened up for A-Ha on their farewell tour in Europe last fall. On breaks from his various tours, he has been focused on recording his solo music.
