The Deco Lighting D511ib Bi-Level Induction Parking Luminaire was chosen by The Energy Technology Assistance Program (ETAP) for exclusive $100 Rebate in California for government agencies and private institutions upgrading to energy efficient lighting.
Commerce, CA, June 30, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Deco Lighting - a leading manufacturer of energy saving, green technology commercial lighting fixtures and systems, announced their D511ib Parking luminaire was selected as the only Bi-Level Induction fixture to qualify for an exclusive $100 rebate in the Energy Technology Assistance Program (ETAP). For municipal, government agencies and public institutions in California planning to upgrade and purchase new energy saving lighting fixtures, this new $100 rebate is in addition to applicable utility rebates.
The innovative, patent-pending Deco Lighting D511ib Bi-Level Induction Parking luminaire with integral sensor provides energy savings up to 85% versus conventional fixtures. The luminaire features two 100,000 hour life Induction lamps and a built-in occupancy sensor. The 23 watt lamp provides continuous low level lighting for security, and the 70 watt main lamp switches on instantly for full illumination when the sensor detects vehicles or people. The luminaire is ideal for parking garages, warehouses, and security installations to substantially reduce energy costs by providing full illumination only when needed, and by utilizing the exceptional long life of Induction lamp technology. The D511ib functions automatically and without the need for external sensors or controls.
About ETAP:
The Energy Technology Assistance Program (ETAP) provides technical support, implementation assistance, financial incentives, and training to accelerate the adoption of advanced, market-ready energy efficiency technologies in local government and public institutions in California. The program focuses on three energy efficiency technologies: bi-level lighting fixtures in parking lots and garages, wireless lighting controls and HVAC controls. Over twenty local government agencies are currently participating in ETAP. To date, ETAP has identified about 12.7 million kWh in energy savings at 85 local government facilities. The program runs through March 2012 and is currently accepting additional participants. Cities, counties, special districts, and public colleges and universities in California are eligible to participate. Participants must begin implementing projects in 2011. Approximately $1.8 million in incentives is currently available to help fund new ETAP projects. The ETAP program and training initiatives will help build a qualified workforce and increase demand for cutting edge energy efficient technologies, which are both essential to meeting California’s energy efficiency goals.
