The trade paperback edition of "Wolf's Run" by Louis Hillary Park has been released and the novel is on sale at a special discounted price for the July 4 weekend at Desire Street Books website.
New Orleans, LA, July 02, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Desire Street Books & Press released today the trade paperback edition of “Wolf’s Run” by Mississippi native Louis Hillary Park. To celebrate, the novel is on sale for 20 percent off through July 10 and they will be giving away a copy of “Wolf’s Run” each day during Independence Day Weekend (July 2-4) through Facebook and Twitter.
“It’s a celebration of the first soft-cover edition and our nation’s independence,” said Hugo H. Ottolenghi, business development director at Desire Street Books.
"I've been waiting for Desire Street to release ‘Wolf's Run’ in paperback so people could afford to buy one,” said author Louis Hillary Park. “Seriously, I appreciate all the folks who purchased ‘Wolf's Run’ as a signed hardback. There were a lot of them! Especially in this economy.
“I’m glad to see it hitting the market in paperback so that it is a little more affordable for folks...And the week of July 4 is the perfect time for it. Paperbacks just feel like summer.”
In conjunction with the book’s release in paperback, Desire Street also is releasing a one-minute video trailer re: Wolf’s Run (view it at: http://bit.ly/WolfsRunVideo); and Park will hold an online chat July 7 hosted on the Desire Street Books & Press web site (www.desirestreetbooks.com).

“The trade paperback edition represents the newest phase in our support of talented novelists like Louis,” said Ottolenghi. “We’re looking forward to other authors following his path.”
"Wolf’s Run," which continues to be available as a signed hardback and for Kindle, is a mystery-laced love story set against the violent backdrop of the 1960s Civil Rights Era in Mississippi. The novel tells the story of Holly Lee Carter, a young, beautiful photo-journalist left paralyzed while covering the Vietnam War.
When Holly inherits her family newspaper, she leaves Los Angeles and returns to the family home – Wolf’s Run -- in Delong, Mississippi — a segregated community called Wolf's Run. Holly fights to keep the newspaper out of bankruptcy and the hands of the Ku Klux Klan, and comes to believe that her father's death was no accident.
Returning home in a wheelchair, also Holly must deal with her own fears, insecurities, frustrations and the reawakening of powerful, long-dormant desires. Her hard-earned faith strengthens her, but will it be enough? In the end, the decisions she makes will change the county’s future forever, but may cost her life.
