Sterling Custom Homes Supports Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central and South Texas
Austin Builder Matches Employee’s Fundraising Efforts
Austin, TX, July 02, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Keeping in line with its tradition of helping both employees and nonprofit organizations, Austin luxury real estate builder Sterling Custom Homes continues its support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central and South Texas while matching an employee’s fundraising efforts, up to $2,500.
Gary Grambley, sales and marketing director at Sterling Custom Homes committed to running the upcoming San Antonio Rock & Roll Marathon later this year. Grambley is using the marathon as a platform to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central and South Texas, and president of Sterling Custom Homes, Duke McDowell, has agreed to match Grambley’s fundraising efforts.
“Gary Grambley has generously given of his time to help make a wish come true,” said Duke McDowell, president of Sterling Custom Homes. “It’s an honor to help him reach his goals while supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central and South Texas for the second time this year.”
Earlier this year, Sterling Custom Homes donated $1 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central and South Texas for every new “like” the builder received on the Sterling Custom Homes Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/sterlingcustomhomes), up to 300 total fans.
Grambley’s goal is to raise $5,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central and South Texas; the amount associated with granting a child’s wish. “Training for a marathon is a long, difficult endeavor,” said Grambley. “Knowing that my efforts will benefit a child in need will provide me with an added incentive when I hit the road for the 16, 18 and 20 plus mile training runs.”
Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® (http://www.wish.org/) has been enhancing the lives of children suffering from life-threatening medical conditions through the granting of wishes. The Foundation is composed of nearly 25,000 volunteers, enabling the non-profit to grant a wish every 40 minutes.
Interested parties can help Grambley reach his goal by making a donation to https://secure.wish.org/ourfriends/031-000/garygrambley.htm.
