ECC Technologies implemented the data networks in the $23 million new state of the art lab.

Penfield, NY, July 02, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Monroe County, NY opened their new State of the Art 45,000 square foot Crime Lab on Thursday, June 16, 2011. This new crime lab provides forensic analysis services to law enforcement and public safety agencies in Monroe, Genesee, Livingston, Ontario, Seneca, Wayne, Wyoming, and Yates Counties. The City of Rochester will be a primary user of the lab. ECC Technologies (http://www.ecctec.com), the global leader in technology and communications consulting, were project consultants for the design and implementation of the data and security networks.

In addition to network design and implementation, ECC’s responsibilities included integration of the Crime Lab with the NY State, Monroe County, and Rochester Public Safety Networks. The new network will assist in allowing the lab to process and evaluate evidence seized in crimes investigated by law enforcement agencies across the state.

“The new facility has the expanded capability to evaluate evidence in the growing field of forensic DNA testing and digital and multi-media analysis. ECC is very proud to have played a part in this facility which will strengthen public safety throughout the region,” said Joe Starks, President and Founder of ECC Technologies.
