Los Angeles, CA, July 01, 2011 --(PR.com)-- früute, a curious new pastry shop opens its doors this Saturday July 2nd, serving tarts as you’ve never seen them before: mini, incredibly airy and artistically infused with meticulously paired flavors, some even quite unexpected.
A collaboration between two sisters and their mother, früute unites classic French technique with modern sensibility. Their passion is evident in every step, starting with organic flour, sugar and dairy, and carefully sourced ingredients. Unique, custom designed square tart moulds were created, which produce a perfectly light and delicate scratch-made crust.
18 signature tarts are handmade daily. Like the Passion Fruit, ganache and crèmeaux enrobed in vanilla crust and topped with a tropical macaroon; and the Sea Salt Caramel, a macadamia, sea salt caramel, dried berry and honey mosaic topped with a blackberry. Other flavors include Budino, Piña Colada, Crème Brulee, Araguani Chocolate and Tiramisu.
früute also has a more adventurous “curious” menu, which includes the Black Pepper, infused chocolate with forest berry center and frangipane, topped with blueberries and a candied pepper crisp; and the Wasabi, spicy Japanese horseradish with blood orange in a pistachio crust and garnished with mint leaf tempura.
The tarts are served in modestly beautiful boxes of 4 or 8, made from recycled paper. Like a fine box of chocolates, partakers can choose their favorite flavor, and best of all don’t have to cut or share. Definitely not like your mom used to make, this is contemporary tart.
