PencilNerd.com Unveils Free LSAT Scoring Page
www.PencilNerd.com has launched a new web site that allows students to instantly generate free, practice LSAT score reports- information formerly available only through large, expensive companies.
Lindenhurst, NY, July 06, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Aspiring law students studying for the LSAT have no doubt spent time squinting at long conversion charts at the back of practice preptest books. They no longer have to- www.PencilNerd.com has launched a free web site where students can simply type in their preptest answers and instantly generate a beautiful, graphical score report.
These score reports go way beyond just giving the final, scaled score you can get from the preptest books. They tell you exactly how you fared on each specific question type within each section.
For example, the report will tell you at a glance the percentage of “flaw” questions you missed on the arguments section, or how many points you got from “matching” games as opposed to “ordering” games.
“Knowledge is power,” said Doug Groene, the blogger behind www.PencilNerd.com.
“Up until now, scoring programs like this were only available to the large test-prep companies like Kaplan or Princeton Review. The information that comes from detailed score reports is a big part of the reason why these companies are able to raise scores.”
For Groene, the hardest part of developing the program was categorizing the questions.
“Categorizing the questions is more of an art than a science,” said Groene. “Not everyone will agree with my question types, and some questions are just hard to label. But the system I developed comes from 10 years of experience, and should give students extremely valuable feedback.”
The site is freely available to private tutors and individual students who want to focus study time on the specific areas that need the most improvement. To access the scoring page, go to: www.pencilnerd.com/score-my-lsat-2/.
www.PencilNerd.com is a blog about test prep for the ACT, SAT, GRE, GMAT, and LSAT, including test-prep news, tips, tools, and product reviews. Doug Groene is an attorney who has taught LSAT prep for over 10 years.
