Global Indian International School Bags Top 3 Awards in Education Excellence at the Global Performance Excellence Awards
Singapore, Singapore, July 07, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Global Indian International School (GIIS) was today announced to have clinched the top three awards in educational excellence at the annual Global Performance Excellence Award (GPEA); becoming the only school recognized under the Education category.
Administered by the Asia Pacific Quality Organization (APQO) and formerly known as the Asia Pacific Quality Award (APQA), the GPEA is the only formal international recognition of exemplary organizations from the Asian and Pacific Rim regions which acknowledges world class quality performances.
In its eleventh year running, the award acknowledges GIIS's outstanding work and capabilities as a global entity. All three GIIS campuses in Singapore; Queenstown, East Coast and Balestier bagged awards, with GIIS Queenstown being awarded the highest award in excellence; “World Class award,” GIIS East Coast being honoured with the second highest award in excellence; “Best in Class award,” and the third highest award in excellence; “Quest for Excellence award” being awarded to GIIS Balestier.
Mr. Atul Temurnikar, Co-founder and Chairman of GIIS said, “It is extremely heartening for all of us here at GIIS to have been awarded the most prestigious awards at the GPEA. We have always been focused on offering meaningful world-class education with a wide variety of curricula. Our aim is to nurture culturally-integrated students who will be equipped with the right skills and knowledge to become global leaders of the future. I liken this to winning an Oscar! GIIS was one of the five Singaporean companies to have received this distinguished honour; the others being Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd, Public Utilities Board Singapore, Singapore Housing & Development Board and Qian Hu Corporation Limited.
The GPEA will be held in Singapore and presented at the 3rd Business Excellence Global Conference & 17th APQO Annual Quality Conference with the theme "Productivity – Enabling Business Excellence." It will be held in conjunction with the Singapore Productivity Association and SPRING from October 17-19, 2011, at The Marina Bay Sands.
