Toastmasters District 83, Appoints Anna D. Banks to Public Relations Officer Post
Toastmasters District 83 Governor, Lisa Pantano is pleased to announce the appointment of Anna D. Banks, MAS, GCDF, as Public Relations Officer (PRO). Banks is responsible for publicity between the District, its 150 clubs, and the public-at-large.
Bloomfield, NJ, July 07, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Toastmasters District 83 Governor, Lisa Pantano, DTM is pleased to announce that Anna D. Banks, MAS, GCDF, CC, CL, has been appointed Public Relations Officer (PRO) for the 2011-2012 District year. District 83
As the new District 83 PRO, Anna will be responsible for coordinating publicity efforts in the district by establishing and maintaining lines of communication, between the District, the public-at-large and its 150 clubs in Metropolitan New Jersey, Rockland County NY and Staten Island, NY. “I am thrilled to serve as the District 83 PRO, during this exciting year of re-branding Toastmasters,” said Banks.
Anna plans to use both traditional media outlets and social media technology to accomplish the following during the her term;
• Promote the benefits of Toastmasters membership resulting in more new members and clubs
• Work in cooperation with the district newsletter editor, Webmaster and speakers bureau chair to achieve public relations goals
• Promote leadership and training opportunities within the district
• In consultation with the district governor, serve as media representative for the district
• Serve as a public relations resource to clubs in the district.
In August 2011, a new and enduring Toastmasters brand message will be introduced for use across all levels of the organization. This message, when used consistently across club, district and International communications, will reinforce the benefits of Toastmasters membership while creating cohesive awareness for members and prospective members alike.
“I look forward to supporting District Governor Pantano’s district-wide expansion,” said Banks, “so that more people will have the opportunity to benefit from its programs.”
