Camp Jam’s National Music Summer Camp Program is Geared Up to Rock Nashville This Summer
Nashville, TN, July 07, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Camp Jam, the nation’s premier provider of rock music summer camps and educational rock ‘n’ roll music programs, today announced that it is gearing up for the Summer 2011 camp series in Nashville, Tennessee. Campers, referred to as Jammers, will rehearse, record, and perform like rock stars during curriculum-based day camp and its popular overnight camp programs. Famous musicians from some of America’s favorite rock ‘n’ roll bands will lend their talents to the camps.
“Our Nashville location is new for Camp Jam this summer, and seemed like a natural location in the country music capitol. For a city that’s known for its country music roots, plenty of rock and roll has emerged from this beautiful city,” said Jeff Carlisi, lead guitarist for .38 Special and Camp Jam co-founder. “Over the past 7 years, Camp Jam has become known as the nation’s most comprehensive music camp. We teach team building and encourage personal growth while enriching young lives through rock ‘n’ roll music.”
Jammers learn from a staff of caring, professional instructors, and treated to master classes and one-on-one interaction with Jeff Carlisi and other rock legends including Derek St. Holmes, vocalist and guitarist for Ted Nugent; Liberty DeVitto, drummer for Billy Joel; Jennifer Batten, guitarist for Michael Jackson; and Tim Smith, guitarist for Sheryl Crow, and many others. Carlisi added, “We are fortunate this year to have some new rock star friends at our camps around the country including world renowned 7-String guitar virtuoso Toshi Iseda at Camp Jam Nashville. Toshi is known to rock the house.”
Guitarists, bass players, keyboard players, drummers, vocalists and aspiring audio and video techs unleash their inner rock star at Camp Jam. Programs are available for ages 7 to 17 with varying skill levels.
The summer music camps began in June and will be held in July and August 2011 in 17 cities across the country.
