Lava Web Creations Designs a Virtual Museum, Which Pays Tribute to Unsung Nursing Heroes

The team at Melbourne’s Lava Web Creations have collaborated with the Royal District Nursing Service (RDNS) to create a virtual museum that pays tribute to Australia’s oldest provider of home nursing and healthcare services.

Melbourne, Australia, July 08, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Imagine visiting a museum with no queues, no entry fee and 24 hour opening times.

The team at Melbourne’s Lava Web Creations have collaborated with the Royal District Nursing Service (RDNS) to create a virtual museum that pays tribute to Australia’s oldest provider of home nursing and healthcare services.

The interactive website http://www.rdnsreflections.com.au was meticulously designed by Lava’s core creative team, and according to Lava Project Manager Brett Stewart contains more than 750 pieces of historical multimedia.

“We wanted to provide an immersive and engaging experience and create a sense of real atmosphere,” Mr Stewart said.

“Lava is really thankful that the RDNS shared such a rich history of their organisation with us, and we’ve been able to help present this to the world.
“We genuinely loved collaborating with RDNS, and they were very supportive and constructive.”

Virtual museums are fast becoming a popular website choice for companies with rich histories who are looking to connect with their clients, the community and the world in an interactive online setting.

Lava Creations worked diligently on the project, scanning in very old handwritten documents and working hard to present each media piece as best as possible.

The expertise of Lava’s head designer Yuan Wang, web programmer Andrew Lawton and animation artist Dale de Silva were also called upon, along with music composition and production specialists.

Evan Gordon, the General Manager in Marketing and Planning for RDNS also had this to say about Lava’s execution and passion for design. “Lava’s mastery of web construction and sense of design brought to life RDNS’ rich, colourful and often deeply moving 125 year history in an online museum that looks professional, friendly and easy to navigate. I appreciated their skill and ability to understand and support the brief and create something that looks as good as it works.”

Lava Web Creations is located in Pacific Tower Hawthorn and since their inception in 2001 have provided promotional, interactive and ecommerce multimedia and website products for a broad range of clients. Lava is an innovative, boutique website design provider based in Melbourne.
