Writing for a Purpose
Writing for a Purpose was established to assist young writers who have a message, but needs a platform. WFAP creators believe that everyone has a story to tell. They believe that young people have a voice and this is an opportunity to be heard.
Atlanta, GA, July 10, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Writing for a Purpose Contest™ is a writing contest for undergraduate college students. Sponsored by A2Z Books and Corporate Chics, LLC, this competition affords college students a voice and a platform to share their thoughts about information they feel is relevant and significant. Students wishing to enter must choose to submit a non-fiction proposal or a fiction query letter. The submission fee is only $15.
Prizes will be awarded in the non-fiction and fiction category. Each winner will also receive a $250 cash prize. The winners will be announced on December 30, 2011 by 3:00pm EST on the Writing for a Purpose website. Early entry will begin on June 13, 2011 but the actual contest begins August 1, 2011 and will last until December 1, 2011. Although different genres, two like-minded authors realized that both their books were written for and on purpose. They both decided to artistically create written expressions that would ultimately make an impact while being influential. As an avid blogger, free lance writer, and author, Tawana Necole Founder of Corporate Chics, LLC wrote the fictional three-part series to assist young college women transitioning from college into the corporate world. The story is infused with relatable content, 21st century technology, situations that every young college female can identify with, poetry and spoken word. Synovia D. Harris, Creator of the A2Z Books Series, writes non-fiction books that motivate, inspire, and inform. She is a college professor and believes that the easier and faster we can become informed; the better. Her books are all under fifty pages and can be read from start to finish in an hour (or less). They are jam packed with useful-immediate information. Any and everyone can benefit from A2Z Books!
