Marian’s Dream Donation Helps Local Animal Charity Expand Reach in New York

Marian’s Dream, a 501(c)3 charity, announced today the awarding of a $20,000 grant to T.A.R.A., The Animal Rights Alliance, Inc. This grant will help make possible the purchase of a new mobile spay/neuter clinic to serve portions of the Hudson Valley and upstate New York.

Trumbull, CT, July 14, 2011 --(PR.com)-- As part of its mission to support and nurture regional solutions to domestic animal over-population, abandonment, and euthanasia, Marian’s Dream selected T.A.R.A. after careful consideration. “T.A.R.A. has shown a dedication to its community and its special needs for so many years,” says Esther Mechler, founder of Marian’s Dream. “With over 50,000 cats spayed and neutered in the past nine years and a history of community involvement, T.A.R.A. has proven it is capable of great work. Helping them expand their services to reach even more domestic animals will benefit so many.”

“This grant has brought us $20,000 closer to our goal of purchasing a new mobile clinic,” stated Rose Tardif, co-founder of T.A.R.A. “We’ve been providing low-cost spay/neuter services for cats in our area for over nine years. With this new mobile clinic, we will be able to expand our spay/neuter services to dogs,” she added.

The mobile clinic is expected to be in operation this fall.
