Introducing the European Podcast Award 2011
The European Podcast Award team is searching for the cream of European podcasters. Podcasters and podcasting fans can now nominate and vote for their favourite internet audio shows at the European Podcast Award website: http://www.european-podcast-award.eu/.
Liverpool, United Kingdom, July 18, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The third European Podcast Award (EPA) - the only Europe-wide award honouring the region’s favourite audio podcasts - has now launched.
Both producers of podcasts and their fans can nominate and rate shows on the EPA’s website at http://www.european-podcast-award.eu.
The EPA team is delighted to announce Olympus Audio Systems will once again be supporting the award as its official sponsor.
Due to the growing popularity of podcasting the Initiative Europe Podcast Award team is expecting more nominations than ever before. Last year the EPA welcomed votes for more than 1,500 podcasts from ten European countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, UK, France, Spain, Italy, Holland, Denmark and Poland).
Nominations are now being accepted in the categories of Personality, Non Profit, Business and Professional.
After podcasters and podcast listeners have nominated and rated their favourite shows, a specialist editorial jury in each country will announce the winners.
The deadline for nominations is November 30, 2011. In February 2012, winners of each category will be selected from each country represented by the EPA. Judges will select four as European Podcasts of the Year, with the outright winner crowned with the European Podcast Excellence Award.
This year's coveted top prize will once again be the brand-new Olympus LS-11 mobile audio recorder which features the Cubase 4 LE production software from Steinberg.
