Chef Martin Yan Earns IFWTWA Culinary Excellence Award
The International Food, Wine & Travel Writers Association's prestigious award recognizes the best of the best in culinary achievement around the world.
Diamond Bar, CA, July 18, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The International Food, Wine & Travel Writers Association's (IFWTWA) Excellence Awards program recognizes the world's finest industry professionals in several categories as experienced by the organization's journalist members. Chef Martin Yan of Yan Can Cook earned IFWTWA's Culinary Excellence Award for his exemplary work as restaurateur, culinary educator and consultant, author, broadcasting personality and chef who brings fresh concepts in Asian cuisine to the world.
According to the IFWTWA member journalist who nominated Chef Yan for recognition: “Martin Yan is an internationally acclaimed chef, teacher, TV personality, author and all around great guy. Martin has had over 3,000 TV programs on PBS for more than 30 years. The certified master chef has written 30 cookbooks. Yan continues his work from introducing California wines to Hong Kong, to consulting in Beijing, the Philippines and Istanbul. He is currently developing a new restaurant, Noodle Revolution, at Market Street Center in San Francisco.”
The award nomination was carefully evaluated and recommended by IFWTWA's Excellence Awards Committee and the award approved by IFWTWA's Board of Directors.
