ClimatePartner Launches System Solution in Japanese for Climate Neutral Printing

Munich, Germany, July 20, 2011 --(PR.com)-- ClimatePartner originally released its system solution, Footprint Manager, in German and English. It is now used by over 300 printers in more than 15 countries. This solution drastically simplifies the chance to offer customers climate neutral processing of their printing orders. After entering emissions-relevant company data, a print shop’s CO2 footprint is deduced and then used to configure an individual CO2 calculator for customer orders. Upon customer request, the emissions produced by orders can be offset by supporting recognized climate protection projects and then labeling the orders accordingly. All of this is done at the push of a button. The Footprint Manager can also be integrated into the print shop’s calculation software (MIS) and is already being used with standard software providers.

Knowing the individual CO2 footprint also makes it possible for every print shop to develop a company-specific climate protection strategy in line with the principle of “reduction before offsetting.” This climate balance sheet makes concrete reduction potential apparent, and improvements can be transparently traced via an annual update. In November 2010, ClimatePartner’s system solution for CO2 balancing and offsetting was audited by the German technical inspection authority (TÜV) and certified according to international standards.

Due to the great interest coming from Asia, ClimatePartner decided to expand Footprint Manager in that region, with Japan as the first step. Effective immediately, all functionalities for print shops are now available in Japanese as well. In order to optimize this system solution, which is already widely used in Europe, four additional languages will be available soon: Italian, Dutch, French, and Spanish.
