The Mission Inn, Riverside, California Earns IFWTWA Excellence Award in Hospitality
The International Food, Wine & Travel Writers Association's prestigious award recognizes the best of the best in hospitality around the world.
Diamond Bar, CA, July 21, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The International Food, Wine & Travel Writers Association's (IFWTWA) Excellence Awards program recognizes the world's finest travel and tourism industry professionals as experienced by the organization's journalist members. The Mission Inn in Riverside, California earned IFWTWA's Excellence Award in Hospitality not only for its exceptional amenities and services but also for its regional historic significance.
According to the IFWTWA member journalist who nominated The Mission Inn for recognition: “The Mission Inn constructed its first building in 1903 and added its new spa a couple of years ago. It is the absolute centerpiece of southern California’s inland empire – a must visit and a place that a hotel guest will never forget...Every Christmas, a couple of million lights are strung to the delight of the city.” The hotel was built in Spanish Mission style “with a little Hearst Castle thrown in.” The hotel offers tours of the buildings, with all the hidden cellars, suites and public rooms.
The award nomination was carefully evaluated and recommended by IFWTWA's Excellence Awards Committee and the award approved by IFWTWA's Board of Directors.
“As a winner of an IFWTWA Excellence Award, The Mission Inn, a National Historic Landmark, demonstrates the professional standards that represent the best in the hospitality industry,” said Maralyn Hill, IFWTWA President. “This extraordinary property and others in its class set – and raise – the bar in the hospitality field worldwide.”
About IFWTWA: The International Food, Wine and Travel Writers Association (IFWTWA) is a global network of journalists who cover the hospitality and lifestyle fields, and the people who promote them.
