Sims Recycling Solutions Becomes a Member of the Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA)

West Chicago, IL, July 21, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Sims Recycling Solutions, the world’s largest electronics recycler has become a member of the Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA). TAPA is an international Association that implements security standards for logistics pipelines in an effort to fight against cargo crime. Members of TAPA work together and share information to prevent thefts, develop supply chain security standards, and work with government agencies.

We hope to raise awareness of this issue to other recyclers in the industry as well.”

According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, industry experts estimate all cargo thefts ring up as much as $30 billion in losses each year.
