Vision 2020 Calls for Nominations for Equality in Action Medals
Five pairs of Chicago-area leaders will be recognized for shared leadership among women and men.
Chicago, IL, July 21, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Vision 2020, a national project working to achieve equality, is seeking five pairs of women and men that demonstrate shared leadership and make a positive impact on their organizational cultures to honor with Equality in Action Medals in Chicago on Oct. 12, 2011, at a public leadership event.
The Equality in Action Medals will recognize these outstanding leaders’ contributions during Kudos & Comedy, an afternoon program of Vision 2020’s second annual congress, Vision + Action = Equality in Motion, being held Oct. 11-13 in Chicago with visionary leaders from across the country.
To nominate a leadership team, visit drexel.edu/vision2020. The nomination process is simple and asks nominators to describe briefly why this team of leaders deserves a Vision 2020 Equality in Action Medal. Vision 2020 is looking for examples of male/female shared leadership across the professions—from the corporate sector, the nonprofit world, faith-based organizations, and community and volunteer organizations.
Nominations are currently being accepted online through Sept. 6, 2011. All nominators receive a ticket to Kudos & Comedy. Medal recipients will be recognized on stage and through video during Kudos & Comedy, 4:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m., Oct.12, 2011, at Chase Tower in Chicago.
During Kudos & Comedy, renowned improv troupe The Second City will stage a special comedy performance. The event will be followed by a reception, where Vision 2020 Delegates—women leaders from all 50 states—sponsors, Chicago community leaders, and Vision 2020 medal recipients will have the opportunity to exchange ideas.
