Ivan Holiday Arsenault was born in New Brunswick, Canada. He received an honorable discharge from the Canadian Armed Forces in 1980. In 1981 joined Burns Security and worked as personal security to the French Ambassador to Canada in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. In 1982 Ivan worked his first bouncing job at the Forum Inn in Edmonton, Alberta.
At fifty-two years old, Ivan “Doc” Holiday has worked a total of fifty-five nightclubs and bars over a period of twenty-eight years. He is recognized worldwide as a leading authority in the field of nightclub security.
Ivan is the author of the book The Bouncer’s Bible: The Art and Science of Working the Door, The Cooler’s Grimoire: The Comprehensive Instructional Guide to Nightclub & Bar Security and Sun Tzu & The Art of Bouncing. In 1999 he produced the world’s first and only Nightclub Security Instructional Video under the Bouncer’s Bible DVD title.
Ivan is the founder and president of BouncerGear Inc Nightclub & Bar Security Academy. He is a Registered Bodyguard with SEAL Bodyguard International - Canadian Government file # TN57496.
