Manufacturing Fresh Air - Heat Recovery Ventilation
Brookvent, Manufacturers of Heat Recovery Ventilation Systems, Launch their new aircycle 1.1 HRV unit. Advanced control & High performance, all within one compact little package.
Belfast, United Kingdom, July 23, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Over the years, heat recovery ventilation (HRV) has become a standard feature in many sustainable homes built with good levels of air-tightness. It works to save heat by extracting it from stale air generated in kitchens and bathrooms, which then warms the fresh, filtered incoming (outdoor) air that is used to ventilate your home.
Brookvent is a company that has been specialising in HRV systems for 15 years, perfecting the technology over three generations of products. The Brookvent aircyle 1.1 is the latest in high efficiency (up to 90%) design, as attested by it being SAP-Q approved. The aircycle’s 1.1 fan power is just 0.7 W/l/s, size for size one of the most efficient units on the market.
What makes the aircycle 1.1 different from other HRV units is that it incorporates advanced control features which ensure that the level of ventilation provided is fully demand controlled for optimum efficiency. The aircycle 1.1 digital controller has a programmable 5/2 day timer, and can respond to humidity sensors or even passive infrared (PIR) sensors; the signals sent by these preset or presence detecting devices will control the fan speed and subsequent ventilation level. This means that your ventilation system responds to your lifestyle in the same manner as your boiler with controls.
In-built airflow sensors respond to any changes in pressure within the ducting to ensure that the correct amount of ventilation is always provided; they are also sensitive to filter blockages and are able to alert the user in the unlikely event of fan failure.
Operating on the minimum setting for 22 hours a day and on the boost setting for two hours, you’ll be spending less than £17 a year in electricity to run the system, which is minimal when you consider that up to a 20% reduction in your space heating bill can be achieved thanks to heat recovery. What’s more, the EC fans of the unit are encased in sound absorbent Expanded Polypropylene (EPP) to ensure minimal sound transference, and the user-friendly seven speed control panel can be positioned wherever you choose in the home.
