Thompson & Knight Attorneys Serve on Board of MHA Dallas

Heuvel has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors of Mental Health America of Greater Dallas (“MHA Dallas”). Heuvel will serve a three-year term. In addition, partner Robert D. Probasco will continue his service on the MHA Dallas Board, a position he has held since 2009.
Heuvel is an Attorney in the Firm’s Trial Practice Group and focuses his practice on complex business litigation and arbitrations involving contracts, business torts, trade secrets and non-competition issues, mass tort litigation, and health care law. He negotiates settlements; conducts case management procedures, including discovery and depositions; and counsels corporate and individual clients on matters relating to commercial litigation and arbitration issues.
Probasco is a Partner in the Firm’s Tax Practice Group and focuses his practice on IRS audits and appeals and tax litigation. He represents taxpayers in disputes with the IRS, responds to audit inquiries, drafts protest letters and position papers in response to proposed tax adjustments and penalties, participates in appeals conferences, and prepares and tries tax cases. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas and a frequent lecturer and author of numerous articles concerning tax issues.
