Kenneth Rozenberg Invites Public to be Inspired by Chris Powell of Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition at Dutchess Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare
Chris Powell, the trainer on Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition, is visiting the Dutchess Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare in an event hosted by Kenneth Rozenberg.
New York, NY, July 28, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Kenneth Rozenberg, CEO of the Centers for Specialty Care Group, is inviting the community in and around New York City to come and be inspired by Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition transformation specialist Chris Powell, who will be appearing at the Dutchess Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare on August 12, 2011. Located 90 minutes north of Manhattan in the Berkshires, the Dutchess Center specializes in bariatric rehabilitation ideal for patients recovering after weight loss surgery.
"Throughout his career, Chris Powell has demonstrated a commitment to helping patients transform their lives and bodies through diet, exercise, and medical treatment. We're honored to have Chris at the Dutchess Center to lecture and inspire our patients, staff, and any interested visitors," Kenneth Rozenberg said.
While visiting the Dutchess Center, Powell will be delivering an inspiring lecture to attendees, as well as participating in a question and answer session to address more specific concerns. Powell will also meet with individual patients and staff members at the Dutchess Center to support them in cultivating healthy nutrition and exercise habits.
Chris Powell achieved national acclaim in 2009 for his radical and unorthodox transformation of David Smith, who lost more than 400 pounds in 26 months, a story that was also the subject of "The 650-pound Virgin," a TLC documentary. Sporting a degree in Exercise Science, Powell is currently the trainer on Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition; on the program, Powell shows his dedication by moving into participants' homes to help them manage their exercise and nutrition programs.
A 122-bed facility, the Dutchess Center is renowned for its bariatric facilities, enabling patients recovering from weight-loss-related surgery to regain their physical health, in addition to developing new diet and nutrition skills. Depending on the patient, post-surgery recovery can span from days to weeks, during which time patients require assistance with meal preparation and pain management, among other tasks. The Dutchess Center is located at 9 Reservoir Road in Pawling, N.Y.
"For patients struggling with obesity, the decision to lose weight - with or without surgery - requires a lifestyle overhaul, a transformation we are dedicated to supporting at the Dutchess Center," Rozenberg said.
