Freemasons to Host Trivia Night to Benefit Fisher House
St. Louis, MO, July 29, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Polar Star Rose Hill Lodge #79, a Masonic lodge in Creve Coeur, MO is planning a trivia night on Saturday, Feb 25, 2012, at the Scottish Rite (3633 Lindell Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63108) to benefit the St. Louis Fisher House (http://www.fisherhouseinstl.org). The St. Louis Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC) provides inpatient and ambulatory care in medicine, surgery, psychiatry, neurology, and rehabilitation, and many other subspecialty areas and is a two-division facility that serves veterans and their families in east central Missouri and southwestern Illinois. The St. Louis Fisher House is a non-profit organization established to provide "a home away from home"; offering a warm, caring, comfortable, and convenient lodging for family members and caregivers coming to the St. Louis area with their loved ones that are undergoing extensive treatment and/or rehabilitation at the St. Louis VAMC.
John Tucci has been writing and serving as emcee of charity trivia games since 2007. It’s an unpaid night and weekend job that began when he volunteered to write the questions and host the event for Cathedral Basilica School, which his children attended. Since then, the list of charities that call upon Tucci to develop personalized trivia contests has expanded. John says, “This time of year is probably the busiest (for trivia contests), from January until May.” When he is not working one of his events, he’ll join a select group of friends that make the rounds of benefit trivia contests.
Doors at the Trivia Night will open at 6 p.m. Trivia will begin at 7 p.m. Tables of eight are available for $150, if reserved by February 4, 2012. Tables will be $160 for table of 8 or $20 per person, at the door.
Price includes Coffee, Soda, Water, & light snacks. Attendees are free to bring their own snacks & beverages (alcohol allowed) for their table. There will be 50/50 drawings, Heads-or-Tails, silent auction items, best table theme, and a cash prize for the first place team.
