"Street Love Monologues" - a play written by author, Felicia Nicole - touches on topics such as Intimate Partner Violence and Suicide... topics that are very relevant in our community, but are normally "swept under the rug." Los Angeles, CA, August 01, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Felicia Nicole Productions and Mount St. Mary's College presents "Street Love Monologues" - a theatrical production that is helping to raise awareness to Intimate Partner Violence, in an entertaining fashion. Opening night: Saturday, September 10th at 7:30p.m.; Mount St. Mary's College - Rose Hills Auditorium, 10 Chester Pl. Los Angeles, CA 90007. (Tickets are $20.00 at the door/$10.00 with a military or valid school I.D.)
"Street Love Monologues" is a play about two best friends (Nikki "simple minded gold-digger" Patterson & Paris Smith) who grew up together in South Central LA & escaped poverty by going to college, only to find themselves involved in committed relationships that eventually put them on the pathway to abuse and depression.
"Art is an imitation of life, so I said that I wanted my art to be relatable and to help someone. I'm ecstatic that the community at MSMC reached out to me to help put life into my art," stated Felicia Nicole, playwright of "Street Love Monologues."
"A Window Between Worlds" is a non-profit organization dedicated to using art to help end domestic violence. (There will be a donation box at the show, to accept donations in the form of art supplies for AWBW www.awbw.org). Additional dates of performance can be found at www.felicianicoleproductions.com
