Media Genesis President Coaches Students from Wayne State University and Walsh College on Entrepreneurship
Troy, MI, August 03, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Media Genesis President Antoine Dubeauclard was recently nominated as an entrepreneurial coach for a new program aimed at Michigan economic revitalization.
The Blackstone LaunchPad program was established in Michigan in 2010 by the Blackstone Charitable Foundation and in partnership with the New Economy Initiative for Southeastern Michigan (NEI), the University of Miami, Wayne State University, Walsh College and Automation Alley.
LaunchPad strives to foster entrepreneurship through higher education and in turn spur economic growth. The program will arrive at the campuses of Wayne State and Walsh in order for students to learn practical skills from seasoned professionals and have the opportunity to grow their creativity and innovation into vital businesses.
“New business creation is critical to the future viability of this state and we’re finally in an environment where this fact is realized by business leaders, foundations and government leaders,” Dubeauclard said. “When this program was originally launched in Miami in 2008 it helped create jobs and a number of companies. More importantly though, it created a positive environment that encourages new business creation and provides a support system between entrepreneurial veterans and students.”
As an entrepreneurial coach, Dubeauclard will advise and be a source of encouragement and knowledge to students from Wayne State University and Walsh College wanting to learn about starting their own ventures.
“I enjoy providing business insights and I’m fortunate to have worked with a few hundred companies across varied industries in my career,” Dubeauclard said. “I have also been involved in many startups and have relatively unique experiences in the digital space.”
