Local Business Owner & Author Pledges to Help Women "Dress for Success"
Atlanta metro area Business Owner and Author, Belinda Mays announces fundraiser to benefit the Atlanta chapter of Dress for Success.
Atlanta, GA, August 05, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Atlanta metro area Entrepreneur Coach and Author, Belinda Mays has announced that $1 from every sale of her newly published book "The Success Project, The Making of a Worthy Ideal," will be donated to the Atlanta chapter of Dress for Success. The fundraiser will run from August 3, 2011 to December 31, 2011.
Dress for Success Atlanta is an affiliate of Dress for Success Worldwide, an international non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of women located in 110 cities across the U.S., Australia, Canada, the U.K., Poland, the Netherlands, the West Indies and New Zealand. Their mission is to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and life.
The Success Project’s author, Belinda Mays comments, “Having an attitude of gratitude is really the true secret to success. These economic times have been challenging, but if you open our hand to freely give, you will notice that your hand is rightly positioned to receive.” Mays chose Dress for Success Atlanta as the recipient of her fundraising efforts because the organization embodies her company slogan of “Inspiring Minds to Infinite Potential.” She not only seeks to support the organization financially, but also plays an active role by being one of the facilitators in their Wal-Mart sponsored Going Places Network training series.
In 2010, Dress for Success Atlanta served over 2000 women from Fulton, DeKalb, Clayton, Gwinnett, and Cobb counties as well as the City of Atlanta. All services are rendered free of charge and include resume evaluations, advanced job searching skills, interview preparation, image makeovers, as well as ongoing support. Women are referred to Dress for Success Atlanta by over 35 diverse not-for-profit organizations that include homeless shelters, domestic violence shelters, job training programs, and other agencies that focus on “welfare to work.”
