DirectRooms.com – Athletes Compete in Vietnam Triathlon from 10 to 11 September 2011
DirectRooms.com reveals that athletes are being invited to compete in the Vietnam Triathlon which will feature a main race over Olympic distances as well as a series of smaller events.
Phu Quoc, Vietnam, August 06, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The core race will be the usual swimming, cycling and running disciplines which will stretch for 1.5km, 40km and 10km respectively. Newer athletes to the sport can however opt to compete in a shorter race as the Sprint Duathlon features a run for 3km and a 10km cycle ride.
There is even something for children as the Kids Aquathlon is designed to be manageable for younger athletes and will consist of swimming for 200m and then a short run stretching for 1.5km.
During the main race on 10th September 2011 competitors will swim past Cua Dai beach, then through small Vietnamese villages in the countryside before finishing with the run. The course is set to include good scenic views along the way as it passes through an old fishing village and along the coastline.
The next day people can also choose to be part of the Vietnam Heritage Ride which covers distances of 60 and 120km by bike and is designed to allow people to see more of Vietnam’s historical treasures as it travels from Hoi An over to My Son.
