The Arizona Team Holds Charity Poker Tournament to Raise Money for the Fisher House

Phoenix, AZ, September 15, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Members of the Arizona Team gathered with family and friends to hold a poker night to raise money for charity. The company was able to spend an evening of fun and games to help raise money for the Fisher House.

The Arizona Team is a sales and marketing firm located in Phoenix. The company specializes in client acquisition and retention. Az executives have over 15 years of experience in gaining and retaining client base and have worked in several industries including energy, dotcom, consumer products, and internet/data transfer. One of the company’s current clients is one of the nation’s leading providers of internet, television and voice.

The Fisher House is a private-public partnership that supports America's military in their time of need. The program recognizes the sacrifices made by men and women in uniform and the hardships of military service.

Az wanted to give back to the community and decided The Fisher House was a great organization to work with. At each military medical center, a “fisher house” is built to help and comfort the families in need. These homes enable family members to be close to a loved one at the most stressful times such as during the hospitalization for an unexpected illness, disease, or injury. The Fisher House’s goal is to meet the humanitarian need that goes beyond what is normally provided by the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs.

“We like to offer our employees an opportunity at least once or twice a month to participate in some sort of volunteer or fundraising activity. We have a great team of people here who work really hard and it is exciting to see how much they want to make time to give back to the community,” explains one of the executives at The Arizona Team.

The Arizona Team was able to raise over $500 through their charity poker night. The company has also volunteered to raise money for Operations Smile, Autism Speaks, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Oxfam America, and Tuesday’s Children.
