Double E Promotions Takes Home the “Promoter of the Year” Award at the 2011 ICGMA’S

Nashville, TN, August 10, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Perry Edge, President of Double E Promotions, is proud to announce receiving the “Promoter of the Year” Award at the 55th Annual ICGMA's (International Country Gospel Music Association) 2011 Gold Cross Awards held August 6th in West Plains, MO.

The following Double E Artists also won in their perspective categories: Gold Cross Female Artist – Joan Gregory, Gold Cross Male Artist – Marty Raybon, Comedian of the Year – Barry McGee

Over 50 years ago, Dr. W. Lindsey Thompson and Billy Holcomb founded the I C G M A (International Country Gospel Music Association). They had a strong vision to unite those who loved and ministered in the Country Gospel Music field. They felt by uniting and working together with artists from all over the world, they could form a bond and build a music industry that could truly spread God's message of salvation through the Country music. They knew that good Christian music can sometimes reach a soul when nothing else can. They had a vision to have a music ministry association with great integrity, high moral standards, and that would be open to everyone, not just an elite few. All these things have been accomplished along with many more over the last 50 years.

Double E Promotions, headquartered in Booneville, MS and ran by Perry and wife, Vikki Edge, have focused more on the Country Gospel genre over the last couple years, witnessing the fruits of their labor as many of their clients songs have charted on national Christian music charts, most rece­­­ntly promoting Country Gospel Artist, Ron Hemphill’s single, “You Can’t Keep A Good Man Down” to number one on the Christian Voice Christian Country Top 100 for April of 11’, Brett Hill’s single, “Boots And The Bible” to number one on the Christian Voice Christian Country Top 100 for March of 11’, Country Gospel Great, Allen Frizzell’s single, “Man of His Word” to number one on the Power Source Christian Country Chart for April of 09’and former Statler Brother, Jimmy Fortune’s “Wrote it In Red” to number one on the Christian Voice, Christian Country Top 100 Chart for December of 09’. In April of 2011 Double E Promotions took home the 1st Annual CGM Fan Fest Award for Promoter of the Year, the Promoter of the Year Award from the 11th Annual King Country Agape Fest Fan Appreciation Awards.
