Milton Keynes, United Kingdom, August 11, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Local mum and entrepreneur, Tracey Bovingdon, Team Monkey Ltd, has earned herself a place in the final line-up of The Mumpreneur Awards, an annual ceremony aimed at celebrating parents throughout the UK who manage the difficult task of juggling business with family life. The mother of 2 from Northamptonshire, runs Tea Monkey Ltd, a chain of cutting edge Tea Cafes; the first of which opened in Midsummer Place shopping mall in Central Milton Keynes in April this year. The business was launched to rival the likes of Costa and Starbucks with a clear emphasis on Tea, whilst providing fantastic coffee and café fayre in a very modern setting.
Tracey has been shortlisted for the Best Green Business Award, which is open to businesses who provide eco-friendly or ethical products and services in the UK. Having launched Tea Monkey Ltd in July last year and placing a huge emphasis on eco friendly products and sustainability, Tracey hopes she has what it takes to walk away with the prize.
As well as being shortlisted for this category, Tracey is also in with a chance of winning the title of The Inspirational Business Mum 2011, sponsored by Intuit, which will be awarded to the mum who is an inspiration to all women in business, and could walk away with a fantastic prize package including a family holiday at Haulfryn's Devon Hills.
Having reached the finals of The Mumpreneur Awards, Tracey said, "I am delighted to have been recognised for my achievements in business and share this recognition with many other mums who juggle working life and motherhood."
Judging Tracey's entry will be a panel of top entrepreneur judges including BBC Dragon, Duncan Bannatyne, but she'll have to wait until 25th September, when the winners will be announced at The Mumpreneur Conference, sponsored by Yell and DHL Express, being held at the Heart of England Conference Centre in Warwickshire. This event is open to all parents who juggle family and business, and also for those interested in taking the plunge and starting up.
