DealShow Hosts Charity Auction Event for Freedom Service Dogs
Denver’s Live Auction Site Showcases Unbelievable Deals with Profits going to Colorado’s Service Dogs
Denver, CO, August 11, 2011 --(PR.com)-- DealShow, a live interactive auction website in Denver, will be hosting a charity auction for Freedom Service Dogs on Thursday, August 18. Fifteen-percent of the proceeds from the show will go to benefit the non-profit organization, which strives to rescue dogs and train them to transform the lives of disabled individuals. Beginning at 6:00 pm MST, DealShow’s website will feature a live, streaming video that will allow viewers to see the products available for bidding.
"We are so excited to support the Freedom Service Dogs organization," says Meg Henrickson. Henrickson and her husband Jeff, both members of the DealShow staff, have a very strong personal connection to the organization. Their ten-year-old son Jack is diagnosed with a mild form of autism and is receiving a service dog from Freedom Service Dogs. The Hendrickson family states that they have been so moved by the warmth and mission of Freedom Service Dogs that they began efforts to organize a charity event for the organization, immediately following the start-up of DealShow.
“We strive to take an active part in the community in a number of ways,” says DealShow host Kim Keene. DealShow will always make it their mission to donate funds to those who need it, Keene adds. During the past few months, nearly $1000 in donations have been made to the Children’s Hospital of Denver, as well as the victims of the flooding in Minot, North Dakota. More recently, the company made an appearance at the Tri for the Cure event in Denver on Sunday, August 7 to show their support for the fight against breast cancer. In September, DealShow will be providing support to one of the local fire departments to honor the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
