700-Foot Slip-and-Slide Debuts at Louisiana’s Cypress Bend Resort

Many, LA, August 11, 2011 --(PR.com)-- There will be no lack of water at Toledo Bend Lake’s largest resort. What is believed to be one of the longest slip-and-slides in America, measuring more than 700 feet with an 80-foot descent, the Cypress Bend Screamer will be unveiled for one day only - Saturday, August 20 - at Louisiana’s Cypress Bend Resort located 70 miles south of Shreveport.

From 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., families will be able to enjoy unlimited trips down the 700-foot waterslide. At 12-feet wide, there’s plenty of room for side-by-side racing.

The slip-sliding experience is free for registered hotel guests while non-hotel guests can enjoy admission for $10 per person. Special room rates will be offered for this weekend.

“If our guests like it, The Screamer could become a permanent amenity,” said General Manager Kerry Bennett.

In addition to the Cypress Bend Screamer, kids games and activities will be available. Plus, the resort will offer soft and adult refreshments, salads, hamburgers and hot dogs fresh off the grill.
