Experts to Speak at Free Global Safety Forum
Risk Management Professionals Will Give Valuable Information and Advice on Global Health and Safety Management. Cardinus Event Will be Held at London HQ on September 14.
London, United Kingdom, August 12, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Speakers from the legal sector and health and safety consultancy will address the Cardinus Health and Safety Forum next month.
The half-day event, on September 14 in London, will be particularly useful for all health and safety professionals with responsibility for multi-national organisations. Workshops will reveal how to shape and manage health and safety around the world.
Peter Kinselley, head of health and safety at the leading global law firm Linklaters, will present a workshop on running a global safety management system. Mr Kinselley developed the Linklaters health and safety management system, which has been given a five-star rating by the British Safety Council. He has worked in many sectors, including facilities management, education, events, museums and charities.
Mark Preston, head of safety consultancy at Cardinus Risk Management will examine the structure of a global safety management system. Mr Preston has 20 years’ experience in developing safety management systems for organisations around the world. He has acted as consultant to BMW, AB World Foods, Eversheds, Microsoft, Air Canada, Thames Water, EA Sports and the New York Stock Exchange.
After the workshops there will be a review of risks for global organisations and a question and answer session before the forum closes at 1pm.
Jon Abbott, managing director – ergonomics and safety at Cardinus Risk Management, said, “Health and safety legislation is increasing throughout the world and more organisations are developing globally. There is an increasing demand for those organisations to develop robust systems to provide good health and safety management throughout all global operations. The difficulty with safety management on a global scale is that there are varying standards of legislation and local requirements to deal with. Add the different cultures and expectations involved, and the management of health and safety in any global organisation becomes very difficult for senior management to control or get right.
“The aim of this forum is to help health and safety professionals rise to the global challenge by identifying the most difficult areas and then shape and manage a team that will prevail. Our expert speakers have a lot of knowledge and experience to share.”
The Cardinus Health and Safety Forum, Global Safety Management, will be held at 107 Leadenhall Street, London EC3A 4AF on Wednesday September 14, starting at 9.30am. Demand for places at the forum is expected to be high, but if you would like to attend, please email linda.kelly@cardinus.com to reserve your place.
