Alexandria, VA, August 12, 2011 --(PR.com)-- War games are very useful to determining strategy in markets where a few competitors play key roles, as the game’s prediction power is very high in a variety of industries. When war games are successfully implemented, they consistently predict the ways competitors will behave.

This topic, along with case studies, will be addressed at the SCIP Latin American Competitive Intelligence Conference by Adrian Alvarez from Midas Consulting. “War games are particularly important in Latin America, where most markets are oligopolistic in nature, with a few companies dominating regional markets,” said Adrian. “Knowing in which situations war games work best, and understanding the critical issues in implementation significantly increases the war game’s success. In addition, sharing case studies help individual understand what value can be obtained from this very useful analysis technique.”

Adrian’s session will include how war games benefit the design of an organization’s strategy, and how the games work in practice. It will also contain war game examples from the pharmaceutical, FMCG, and educational industries to bring the concepts down to earth. A summary of the key learnings will help to fix the concepts in the listeners’ minds.
