African American Business Summit 2007 - 10th Anniversary Multi-Event Highlights
The landmark 10th Anniversary of the African American Business Summit - newly partnered with multi-cultural Turning Point URBAN and the TPC Foundation, Inc. - will present an array of events from June 20th to June 23rd, 2007 in Los Angeles, California.
Los Angeles, CA, March 31, 2007 --(PR.com)-- The African American Business Summit 2007, partnering with Turning Point URBAN Magazine and TPC Foundation, Inc., announced today that the event will be held in Los Angeles, California with an array of diverse programming celebrating its 10th anniversary.
The African American Business Summit provides solutions to the issues that confront diverse urban small businesses - from access to capital, new business acquisition, to operational excellence. Nationally recognized as the "must attend” event for business owners and corporate executives, the 10th Anniversary will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, 1201 South Figueroa Street in Los Angeles, CA 90015 on June 21st and 22nd, 2007.
The event will feature the opening day keynote by Dennis Kimbro, Ph.D.; timely general sessions including the Mayor's Roundtable on Urban Development which presents several Mayors from major United States metropolitian cities challenging the state of urban development; and on Friday, June 22, 2007 - The Turning Point URBAN Business Expo, where businesses will showcase and provide demonstrations from 10AM to 3PM, is free to the business public.
Additional African American Business Summit 2007/Turning Point URBAN agenda and events are as follows: Wednesday, June 20th - TPC Foundation, Inc. Golf Tournament will be held at the Malibu Country Club, 901 Encinal Canyon Road, Malibu, CA 90265. The Hon. Herb J. Wesson Jr. of Los Angeles City Council 10th District is Honorary Chair.
On Thursday evening after the African American Business Summit 2007 scheduled conference & sessions, an opening V.I.P. Reception will be held at 5:00 P.M. Then at 7:00 P.M., there will be a very special Jazz and Art Reception honoring world-renowned artist Synthia Saint James at an additional site TBA very soon!
On Friday evening after the Turning Point URBAN Business Expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center, Tiffany & Co. will be hosting a special V.I.P. Reception in Beverly Hills, California at 5:00 PM.
And finally on Friday, beginning at 7:30 PM - the African American Business Summit 10th Anniversary Dinner and Gala will honor those who serve as catalysts to unite the community such as: Moctesuma Esparza, President/CEO of Maya Cinemas and Member of California State University Board of Trustees; Pat Tobin, President of Tobin & Associates; Sean Harrigan President of Los Angeles Department of Fire and Police Pensions; Gwen-Marie Thomas professor of Business and Management of West Los Angeles Community College; the Living History Maker 2007 Winner and other honorees TBA at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel, 9500 Wilshire Boulevard, Beverly Hills, CA.
And on Saturday June 23, the TPC Foundation, Inc. will present its Smart Start Youth Financial Literacy Program at Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, CA.

Beginning in its 10th year, the African American Business Summit has partnered with Turning Point URBAN. This new collaboration with Turning Point URBAN gives the Summit the opportunity to EXPAND and include all multicultural and ethnic business professionals nationally.
African American Business Summit/Turning Point URBAN educates, motivates and empowers entrepreneurs through powerful general sessions, targeted workshops and ample opportunities for direct interaction with corporate partners. The African American Business Summit/Turning Point URBAN events will be held from Wednesday, June 20th to Saturday, June 23rd, 2007.
Attendees will have access to expert led plenary sessions, breakouts, general sessions and keynotes.
