Business Consulting Solutions Raises Money for Operation Smile

Operation Smile is a non-profit organization founded in 1982 in Virginia. The organization sends volunteer medical professionals to conduct operations to repair cleft palates, cleft lips and other facial deformities. It is reported that every three minutes a child is born with a cleft which often renders them unable to eat, speak, socialize or smile. Operation Smile is able to step in where, in most cases, their parents cannot afford to give them the surgeries they need to live a normal life.

Since inception, Operation Smile has provided more than 2 million patient evaluations and over 200,000 free surgeries for children and young adults born with these issues. Operation Smile is described as one of the most prominent children’s charities in the world with a presence in over 60 countries.

Business Consulting Solutions has been holding fundraisers for Operation Smile for over a year. The company is holding an upcoming Olympic style sporting event to raise money for the charity. Members of the team will be able to attend as participants or spectators. There will be food and beverages provided. The participant fee is $15 and the spectator fee is $10.
