Liz Fields's Military Gala- A Night to Remember for Military Couples
Liz Fields hosted her 1st Annual Military Gala on July 23rd 2011. This gala served as an effort to give back to the community by giving away gowns and prizes to women within the military family.
San Antonio, TX, August 17, 2011 --(PR.com)-- On July 23, 2011 Wedding Dress and Evening Gown designer Liz Fields, traveled from Englewood, NJ to San Antonio, TX to host her 1st Annual Military Gala. The event was held at The Swanderosa in Helotes, TX. The goal of the event was to give back to the military community by providing a free evening of drinking, dancing, entertainment, and prizes for military couples. The Military Gala also served as an opportunity for Liz Fields to give a peak at her newest, never-before-seen, 2012 season of bridesmaid dresses, prom dresses, and bridal gowns.
The night kicked-off with a beautiful opening by emcee, Holly Mills-Gardner, former Miss Texas. This was followed by an out-of-this-world performance by American Idol Season 8 top ten finalist, Michael Sarver and his band. All the guests were on their feet within minutes. Following the performance was the fashion show, raffle giveaway, and then a special champagne toast.
To ensure the night was a success, Liz Fields enlisted the help of her local retailer, Serendipity Bridal Salon, with the coordinating of the evening's fashion show, comprised of Spring 2012 styles not yet seen by anyone else. Lacy Pool, Serendipity Bridal Buyer, did a fabulous job styling the runway looks with Toni Federici veils and Kendra Scott jewelry.
Army Wife Network was the media partner, registering guests for the event and securing about 200 couples' spots to attend this free evening. The food by Chef Mike at Spice of Life Catering was absolutely delicious. They topped the night off with mouthwatering Godiva Milkshakes and beautiful cakes prepared by Pastry Chef Eugene. The night was full of surprising twists, turns, and heartfelt encounters. To learn more about this event please tune into CMT this Fall to catch their reality series about The Swanderosa.
Other thanks to all those who helped make this night a success: Kimberly Chau photography, Madame Makeup and Hair, Entourage Modeling Agency, You Rock Guitar, Thompson's WaterSeal, Blue Star Families and "Operation Appreciation,” and MilitaryHandbag.com.
