Smart Answers for Christianity’s Toughest Questions Presented at Upcoming Dare to Defend Conference
Calvary Chapel San Diego to host event tackling objections to hell, the dangers of Islam, and witnessing to the cults this Sept. 30.
Riverside, CA, August 20, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Come Reason Ministries will be bringing its increasingly popular Christian apologetics conference series, Dare to Defend, to Calvary Chapel San Diego this September 30 starting at 7:00 PM. The two-day event will tackle some of the most talked-about issues for Christians, including whether hell is a reality, witnessing to Muslims, and how to converse with Mormons or Jehovah’s Witnesses who knock at your door.
“These types of events are sorely needed in the church today,” states Lenny Esposito, apologist and president of Come Reason. “Christians are not only facing more objections than ever before from those hostile to Christianity, but books like Rob Bell’s Love Wins are causing confusion even among believers. People need straight answers to help them walk strong in their faith.”
The event will feature classes on both Friday evening and Saturday morning, including two open question and answer sessions where the audience will have the opportunity to ask about topics concerning ethics, religion, morality and society.
The conference’s aim is to equip Christians to be assured that Christianity is intellectually feasible…to be able to understand the basic objections to the Christian worldview and answer them…and to have the confidence to initiate objections to opposing viewpoints and the problems they present.
“Christians don’t realize how smart a faith Christianity really is,” says Esposito. “We have the answers. Christians just need to be equipped to give them in a loving and gracious way.”
Event tickets are $10 for both days and may be purchased at Calvary Chapel San Diego or on their web site at www.CalvaryChapelSanDiego.org. The church is located at 1771 East Palomar Road, Chula Vista, California. For more information, visit www.daretodefend.org or www.comereason.org.
