Children of the Caribbean, Inc. Taps MAYO Communications for National Publicity
“I love MAYO Communications’ energy and we’re so excited to have them onboard,” said Co-Founder and Executive Director Rosie Hodge-Adams, Children of the Caribbean, Inc. (COC)
Los Angeles, CA, August 22, 2011 --(PR.com)-- MAYO Communications, Los Angeles has been retained as the agency of record by Children of the Caribbean, Inc. (COC), a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization. Founded in 2010, by Rosie Hodge-Adams and her husband Julian Adams, the COC mission is to create lasting positive changes in the lives of disadvantaged children across the Caribbean. The Foundation focuses on improving living conditions, educational opportunities, medical care and overall quality of life of disadvantaged children.
“They have a track record for brand awareness, I love MAYO Communications’ energy,” said Co-Founder and Executive Director Rosie Hodge-Adams, Children of the Caribbean, Inc. (COC)
MAYO Communications is no stranger to branding nonprofits and corporate social responsibility clients. For nearly a decade MAYO branded the late Chief Economist Jack Kyser, Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC), and WTCA LA/LB.
MAYO’s client International Trade Education Programs (ITEP), which helps high school students, with careers in international trade, was featured several times in the LA Times in two years. Last year, MAYO grabbed national media attention and breast cancer awareness for MAMMOJAM 2010, a packed Hollywood dancing event benefiting Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation. It featured a host of celebrities, including ABC Dancing with the Stars Louis Van Amstel and Jonathan Roberts. Earlier this year, MAYO helped promote a Manhattan Beach fundraiser for Exceptional Kids Parent Teacher Organization (EKPTO) for children with special needs.
MAYO will work with COC on its expanded 2011 Educational Initiative, which helps supply backpacks, other essential school supplies to needy schools of the Caribbean. The LA based PR firm will also assist in fundraising events and social media of Children of the Caribbean.
