Doubleday, Candidate for Township Supervisor, Wants to Restore Trust in Buckingham Township Government

Doylestown, PA, April 05, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Speaking before an engaged crowd in Doylestown on Saturday in his bid for one of the three seats on the Buckingham Township Board of Supervisors, Wendel Doubleday launched his campaign and vowed to bring transparency back to government and focus on responsible decision making, traffic safety, competitive telecommunication services and a rigorous review of existing zoning ordinances to protect against possible litigation against the township.

Doubleday, a PhD organic chemist by profession, is an 8 year resident of Buckingham Township, where he lives with his wife of 18 years. His professional work in the pharmaceutical industry is based on integrity, collaboration with others having diverse views, and coming up with the best solutions to deal with issues that arise. Doubleday believes he can bring these critical skills and fresh ideas to help bring responsible decision-making back to a currently divisive Board of Supervisors.

“The Buckingham Township Supervisor seat is extremely important given the divisiveness within the current Board of Supervisors as well as with its constituents and businesses in the community,” said Doubleday. “I see a compelling need to restore trust and good decision-making to the township government, and believe that I can make that commitment to the people of Buckingham by becoming the next elected Buckingham Township Supervisor."

Buckingham Township is currently represented by a three person board of supervisors, with one of the seats up for grabs this year. Doubleday will challenge the incumbent, a Democrat, in the May primary.
