Carter Psychology Center Introduces Dr. Karim Z. Yamout, Psy. D. as Newest Neuropsychology Specialist
Beginning 1 September 2011 Dr. Karim Z. Yamout will be practicing Neuropsychology at Carter Psychology Center in Bradenton, Florida.
Bradenton, FL, August 28, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Carter Psychology Center, a full service psychology practice, is pleased to welcome and announce the hire of its newest Neuropsychology Specialist, Dr. Karim Z. Yamout, Psy. D., who will begin with the practice on 1 September 2011.
Dr. Debra Carter, Owner and Clinical Director of the Carter Psychology Center said, “With the addition of Dr. Yamout, the practice will be able to explore its fullest potential in the field of Neuropsychology. His experience will provide new insight for the other doctors, and we expect to see breakthroughs with the research and treatment plans the Carter Psychology Center Neuropsych division will be providing.”
Dr. Yamout is a licensed psychologist specializing in neuropsychological assessment of cognitive, emotional, and behavioral changes that accompany neurological problems. His primary focus is working with individuals experiencing memory and other cognitive changes due to aging, stroke, traumatic brain injury, illness, and other conditions that affect the brain. Being bilingual, Dr. Yamout is also able to conduct neuropsychological evaluations in Arabic.
Before joining Carter Psychology Center, Dr. Yamout completed a 2-year postdoctoral residency in Neuropsychology at the University of California in Davis Medical Center, Department of Neurology/Alzheimer’s Disease Center. Prior to that, he completed his internship with the Neuropsychology Service of the Kansas University School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. While in graduate school, he completed predoctoral clinical training in Atlanta, GA with the Emory School of Medicine Cognitive Neurology clinic.
Dr. Yamout will be providing neuropsychological assessments, playing a large role in neuropsychological research and forming treatment plans while working with the Carter Psychology Center.
