Slimm Buick to DJ at Annual Rootstock Festival, Sacramento, CA Sept. 17 & 18

Sacramento, CA, August 28, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Slimm Buick will be the guest DJ September 17 and 18 from 5 to 8pm at the annual Rootstock Festival, a two day music festival featuring Rockabilly, Americana, Country and Western Swing performers. The event is being held on the grounds of the Sacramento Horsemen's Association, at 3200 Longview Drive, Sacramento, CA 95821.

Bands include the Hillary Marckx & the 45-90, Little Jessie & the Pussy Hounds, Cheatin' Hearts, Alkali Flats, The Dirty Hand Family Band, Jenny Lynn and Her Real Gone Daddies, and the Fortunate Few, to name just a few. There will also be vendors, exhibitions, cars on show from The Asylum Hot Rod Gathering, and kids activities. All Ages, all Day ... bring the old folks bring the kids, $20 per day. In addition to years of DJ work, Slimm Buick is a well known artist from San Francisco. Slimm's multi-media, watercolors and kinetic artwork have been shown in major museums, such as San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and Yerba Buena Gardens. Slimm is best known for movable works of art, or "Art Bikes," such as Rawhide and the Punching Clown Bike. He has been seen in movies, and featured in a Documentary Channel production of Weird Wheels, amongst others. He is currently booking his Winter-Spring shows in Northern California.
