Entrepreneur of the Year Goes from Business Novice to Business Profits
Michael J. Caputi of Epoxytec Earns Honor at 2011 Business Excellence Awards
Las Vegas, NV, August 28, 2011 --(PR.com)-- When most people start in business, they have no idea what they don’t know and it takes some time to learn. While some never learn enough to be truly successful, some are outstanding students.
One of those outstanding students, Michael J. Caputi, was just named the Entrepreneur of the Year at the 2011 Business Excellence Awards, held at the Fontainebleau Hotel, in Miami, Florida.
The 2011 Business Excellence Awards are exclusively tailored for small and medium sized businesses and were given in 16 categories, ranging from Best Startup to Best Overall Company. Winners were announced on the last evening of the Business Excellence Forum, Saturday, August 20.
When Caputi began his business, Epoxytec, he was a virtual novice in the world of business, but through hard work he has managed to build a commercial enterprise that works. In fact, it’s working so well that Epoxytec increased sales by 60 % and profits by 196 % from 2009 to 2010. So far in 2011, they’ve had incredible quarter over quarter growth, with a 157 % improvement in sales and a whopping 2792 % improvement in profits.
When he received the award, Caputi said, “We really did hit some big numbers this year and it’s all about the team. We have a great one. And thank you Brad Sugars for your passion and dedication for changing one life at a time with ActionCOACH and, of course, a big thank you to John Layzell and the entire South Florida coaching team, who have helped us so much.”
The 2011 Business Excellence Awards are the culmination of the Business Excellence Forum, this year’s premier event for small business owners and entrepreneurs. The Forum offered a unique opportunity to discover cutting-edge business strategies from some of the top entrepreneurs, speakers and Business Coaches in the world.
All of the speakers and workshops at the event delivered high-impact and effective business growth information to substantially build small business profits and teamwork.
The Business Excellence Forum and Awards are sponsored by ActionCOACH, the world’s number one business coaching firm in 39 countries coaching 15,000 businesses around the world each week.
