SRF Productions Announces Benefit for Second Harvest Music Fest 2007
A Benefit for Second Harvest will be held at the Wildhorse Saloon with Joe Dubin of Channel 2 News as MC. The event is also to include special appearances by various artists. Prizes are to be given away by artists such as Cinderella, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Tom Petty and more.
Paris, TN, April 06, 2007 --(PR.com)-- A benefit for Second Harvest (The largest domestic hunger-relief organization in the U.S.) is planned for 7:00p.m., April 18, 2007 at the Wildhorse Saloon on 2nd Avenue, Nashville, Tennessee. A percentage of proceeds will go to the foundation to help benefit its cause. Second Harvest provides emergency relief efforts through a network of more than 200 food banks and food-rescue organizations. Each year, the America's Second Harvest Network provides food assistance to more than 25 million low-income hungry people in the United States, including more than 9 million children and nearly 3 million seniors.
Artist appearances by Peculiar Dance, Blackhawk, Charlotte, Triple 40, Hip Kitty & Tin Horse Band, are expected! The artists will be selling tickets for drawings during their performance with prizes donated by Nashville Tours, Buffalo Billiards, Allison Krauss, Robert Plant, Gibson Guitars, Cinderella, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, New Rascals, Charlie Souza or Tom Petty. Prizes will include items such as limo rides, gift certificates and artist items.
Sponsors include Buffalo Billiards, which has donated a Nashville Predators team autographed hockey stick; Gibson Guitars donated a guitar which has been autographed by BB King. Rock band Cinderella has donated an autographed drum head; Minuteman Press sponsored flyer printing as well as Office Depot. The night is expected to be a beneficial fund raiser for Second Harvest.
All performing artists are donating their time to help raise funds to support America’s Second Harvest and Nashville’s very own Channel 2 News anchor Joe Dubin will be your MC for the night. Ticket prices are $20 floor and $10 general admission. Advance tickets can be purchased from Ticketmaster.
